Privacy Policy

Effective July 25, 2026

TipBud is built so that we cannot see your data.

What we collect

Nothing. TipBud has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no servers of ours. We never see your shifts, tips, jobs, name, or anything else you enter. On the App Store this is declared as "Data Not Collected."

Where your data lives

Your name

The optional first name in Settings → Personal is stored on your phone and appears only in your Home greeting. It is not an account and is not sent anywhere.

Notifications

Both notifications — the weekly recap and the best-day heads-up — are off by default. If you turn one on, it is computed and scheduled locally on your device from your own history. Nothing is sent to anyone.

App Lock and Face ID

If you enable App Lock, unlocking is handled entirely by iOS. TipBud only receives a yes-or-no answer from the system — it has no access to your Face ID or biometric data.

Saving a share image

If you save a share card to your photos, iOS asks for add-only photo library access: TipBud can add that one image and cannot see, read, or modify anything else in your library.

Purchases

The optional lifetime unlock is processed entirely by Apple. We receive no payment details. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchases.

Third parties

There are none. TipBud contains no third-party SDKs, ad networks, or analytics of any kind.

Children

TipBud is a work tool for tipped earners and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, including children.

Data deletion

Delete the app and your local data is gone. To also remove synced data, delete TipBud's data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for you to request from us — deletion is entirely in your hands.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
